Yes, EVs need a shop too. Tires wear faster, alignment matters more, brakes still wear (just slowly), and 12V batteries fail just like ICE cars. We service Teslas, Priuses, Bolts, EV6s, Lightnings — anything you drive.

What we do on EVs

Six services every EV needs.

We don't pretend to do battery-pack work or motor swaps — those go to dealers. But every EV still needs the basics, and we do them better and cheaper than the dealer service department.

Tires

EVs eat tires faster due to weight + instant torque. We stock EV-rated tires (Michelin, Continental). Alignment and rotation extend life significantly.

Alignment

EVs are heavy — alignment specs matter more than ICE cars. Misalignment kills tire life and range.

Brake pads & rotors

Regen handles most braking, but pads still wear and rotors rust. Worth inspecting yearly.

12V auxiliary battery

Even Teslas have a 12V battery. They die on the same 3-5 year cycle as any other car. We replace same-day.

Cabin air filter

HEPA filters in modern EVs. Cheap to replace, big difference in cabin air quality.

Fluid services

Brake fluid still needs flushing every 2-3 years. Some EVs (Tesla included) have transmission fluid. Coolant for battery thermal management on most.

Do EVs really need maintenance?

Yes — less than ICE cars, but still. No oil changes, but tires, brakes, alignment, 12V battery, cabin filter, and brake fluid all still need attention. Skip them and you spend more later.

Is it true EVs eat tires faster?

Yes. The combination of high weight (often 1,000+ lb heavier than equivalent ICE) plus instant torque plus regen-on-deceleration wears tires 20-30% faster on average. Rotation every 5,000 miles is essential.

Do you have to be a dealer to align an EV?

No. Modern alignment racks handle EV specs perfectly. The work is the same as ICE — we just check the manufacturer's slightly tighter tolerance specs.

Can you replace my Tesla's 12V battery?

Yes. We stock the Model 3/Y 12V battery and the AGM unit for older S/X. Same-day.
